First, we stayed down in Cedar City for two weeks while I was finishing 3 of my classes for my Masters program. My mom stayed with me the first week and Billye and Kat stayed the second week to watch Phoenix while I was at class. Without them I would have never been able to do it! Thanks for all the help! (Kat stacked these animals that Billye bought all over Phoenix)
The day after we drove back from Cedar City we all flew to Tennessee for 6 days. Phoenix got to see the farm for the first time! She also experienced some other "first's":
- Meet Emma, Jonathan, and William (even though Emma was scared of her for most of the trip)
- Watch daddy crash the dirt bike and rip a huge gash in his favorite jeans
- Take a ride on the 4 wheeler with Jefe
- Go to the Hitchcock family reunion at Fall Creek Falls
- Walk through Carlos' amazing garden
- Get lots of kisses from Pa Pa
- Watch daddy almost tear his hamstring on the jet ski
After we got back from Tennessee we visited Kenny in his new condo. Phoenix couldn't wait to sit in the MONSTER sac!!
The next night we drove down to Manti to see the Mormon Miracle Pageant. We also reminisced about when we first fell in love because this is where Sampson proposed to me!
After a few days rest we took off down to Texas for an extremely hot and humid Fourth of July. Phoenix went to her first swimming pool and took her first boat ride while she watched mom ski around the lake. (Her life jacket was a little too big, but it worked)
The day after we got back, we went rock climbing with Dan and Christine. Phoenix hiked up with dad in the baby bjorn and got to watch as we climbed this little crack all the way to the top. After climbing we made tin foil dinners and peach cobbler in the dutch oven.

After 8 different planes and 6 different states, our fun filled month has come to a close. Now we are gearing up for the 4 month shots. Ahhh!
